Dedicated Staff

The agency, established in 1966 by Raymond Fischer, has a 10-person staff, including principal Agent Jerry Fischer. Jerry is a U.S. Air Force veteran who holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designations. He took ownership of the agency in 1991.

In addition, all other staff members are licensed and are working on or have designations as well. Jerry’s son Brian joined the agency in 2013 after graduation from the University of Scranton with a bachelor’s degree in Business. He is the third-generation to work at the agency and will become the next principal.

Fischer Insurance Agency’s staff distinguishes themselves from the competition through their extensive insurance coverage knowledge. It’s helped them serve over 10,000 Customers.

The agency doesn’t just provide insurance coverage to the residents of Williamsport; they are also dedicated to helping the less fortunate in the community. They give back annually in a variety of ways. Jerry has served on several boards in the past including the United Way’s Allocating Committee.

Fischer Insurance Agency has a track record of excellence, reinforced by the fact that they’ve received the Erie Insurance Founders’ Award consecutively for the last 20 years. They were a 2011 recipient of the F.W. Hirt Quality Agency of the Year Award as well as a recent winner of the “Best Local Agency” from the Williamsport Sun Gazette.
